Fundacion Camino Emaus

We are the Foundation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Colombia, empowering individuals, families, and communities as agents of social change. Leveraging the power of relationships and generosity, we are catalysts in processes of formal education, evangelism, and diverse serving vocations.

Good Shepherd Senior Care

This project located in Soacha offers comprehensive holistic care to a group of 40 vulnerable seniors by improving their physical, mental, spiritual, cognitive, and nutritional conditions as well as strengthening their interpersonal and community relationships. Inspired by this holistic approach, the National Senior Care is also in place.

Senior Ministry - IELCO

Fundación Camino de Emaús has been and continues to be a strategic ally of ministries focused on comprehensive care for older adults. In addition to the accompaniment, bilingual communication facilitation and immersion experiences with the Good Sheperd Center located in Ciudadela Sucre (municipality of Soacha), Fundación Camino de Emaús has been and will continue to be a strategic ally of the recently established Senior Ministry – IELCO. This New Senior Ministry seeks to celebrate, visualize and respond to the holistic needs of this population within IELCO’s congregations and missions across Colombia.

Fundación Camino Emaús has been instrumental in inspiring, communicating and securing initial sustainable foundations for this new ministry. In order to  strengthening the existing Seed Capital, this ministry accepts contributions on a recurring basis.

CELCO School – El Cocuy

To ensure the viability of this CELCO School, together we are launching this 71x71x71 Fundraising Appeal. A brief explanation of this Appeal.

We are celebrating 71 years of educational presence and excellence in forming students as responsible citizens, socially engaged leaders and environmentally committed advocates. Building upon solid Christian values, our educational practice and commitment is radically different to any other.

Our goal is to engage a network of 71 individuals, families, Sunday schools, willing to a gift of $71 per year. Fundación Camino Emaus will facilitate personal conversations with teachers and students and will share videos, stories and photos of the school.

This highly personalized opportunity ensures not only for the school to thrive but for mutually transformative relationships as well.

Fundraising Supper FCE

Capitalizing on the building promise of generosity and sharing food, the goal of this fundraising supper is to grow mission sustainability by engaging Colombian Lutherans, professional students who have graduated thanks to the support of Fundacion Camino de Emaus, friends of the Fundacion, and other Colombian organizations. Each person attending this Supper will be paying the amount of $50.00 (US Dollars). This event will take place in Colombia on August 6, 2024.

For our mission companions outside Colombia, we are also inviting you to be present in this Supper, though in a different way. To be an individual sponsor, you are invited to donate $50.00, the same amount which Colombians will be giving. To be a sponsor as a congregation, we suggest any amount ranging from $150.00 to $250.00 Both individual and congregational sponsors are welcome.
