IELCO-FELM SCHOLARSHIP

This program began at the end of the 80s and within the framework of the missionary relationship and ecclesial cooperation between the Evangelical Lutheran Mission of Finland FELM and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Colombia-IELCO.

This Scholarship Program responds to the pressing need for education of children and young people who cannot have access to education – public or private – due to lack of resources and opportunities. Initially this program funded primary and secondary education but is currently funding university education. In 2023, this scholarship program impacted 278 students and their families. These students were enrolled in elementary, secondary, and university education.

This scholarship program is managed by Fundación Camino de Emaus. All students who benefit from the Program live in the surrounding areas where IELCO is present in Colombia
