LIZBETH

I’m Lizbeth. In my family he was the one who first became a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Colombia. It happened when I was studying at CELCO school in Sogamoso. Then my nuclear family and extended family also joined the Lutheran Church. We are currently very active members of New Life Lutheran Church. This congregation has been important to me as I have been able to serve children and youth with biblical teaching there.

Currently my service is aimed at serving the church on a national level. One motivation I’ve had since I was a child is that the greatest wealth is not in material goods, but in the gifts, God has given us. And it is precisely those gifts that have allowed me to continue to explore my God-given strength and be disciplined in achieving the dreams I have had, being a professional among them. Service and leadership within the church have motivated me to continue to use the gifts in teaching. I continue to serve the national church by participating in devotionals and with the volunteer program of the Taizé Reconciliation Movement in France. From my work as a teacher, I look every day for students to fight to fulfill their dreams and take measures that lead them to what they want to achieve, either academically or personally.

Eduardo Galeano is known for saying: “many small people, in small places, doing small things, can change the world”. This is what Fundacion Camino de Emaus continues to achieve here in Colombia. I honestly believe you are part of the movement of people that God is using to change the world. Thank you so much for your love, prayers, and suppor!.
